Which phones does Standby support?
Any phone running Android 8.0 or newer. It looks best on OLED screens, where black pixels are fully off.
Does my phone have to be charging?
By default Standby starts when you charge in landscape. You can also launch it manually or set it to start on a schedule.
Will it drain my battery or burn in my screen?
Standby uses a mostly black UI, dims automatically and shifts pixels slightly over time to prevent burn-in.
Can I customize the clocks and widgets?
Yes. Choose clock faces, accent colors, widget pairs and photo albums, and set when night mode turns on.
Is it really free?
Yes. Standby is free to download and use.
What data does Standby collect?
We don't collect personal data. Your calendar and photos stay on your phone. For weather, only an approximate location is sent to fetch the forecast. See our privacy policy for details.
