Terms of Use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms apply to the Standby app for Android and this website (together, “Standby”), provided by Standby App (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Standby, you agree to them.
Using Standby
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Standby on Android devices you own or control. You agree not to copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.
Price
Standby is currently free. If we ever add paid features, we’ll tell you clearly first, and anything you’ve already been using for free will not be taken away without notice.
Your device
Standby is designed to run while your phone charges, with automatic dimming and burn-in protection. You are responsible for using a safe, certified charger and for keeping your device in a well-ventilated place. We are not responsible for damage caused by chargers, overheating or long-term screen use.
Third-party content
Weather, calendar, music and other information shown in Standby comes from your device or from third-party services. We can’t guarantee it is accurate or available at all times.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Standby handles information.
Intellectual property
Standby, its name, logo, design and code belong to Standby App. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Standby is not affiliated with Apple, and “StandBy” is used only to describe a similar feature.
Disclaimer
Standby is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Don’t rely on it as your only alarm or for anything critical. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of Standby.
Changes and termination
We may update Standby and these terms from time to time. If you keep using Standby after a change, you accept the updated terms. You can stop using Standby at any time by uninstalling it.
